Care for the Carers
About this opportunity
The purpose of this voluntary role is to check in with identified carers, keeping them connected, reminding them that they are not alone, and reducing social isolation. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, a non-judgemental approach, and want to make a difference for local carers.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one 2-hour shift each week, between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday. Full training and support will be provided.
At present the post will be home-based with remote support, although there maybe opportunities to be based at our offices in Eastbourne in the future.
The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
|Closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 20th October 2020. Interviews will be held on 23rd October 2020, and induction training will take place on 2nd & 3rd November (1/2 days) and 11th November (full day).
