About the Organisation
We are the main country-wide charity supporting older people in East Sussex. Our vision is that East Sussex is a great place to grow older. We are independent, locally-focused and led by the needs and aspirations of those in later life.
About this opportunity
|Description of role including number of volunteers required Several Volunteers required Age UK East Sussex supports over 15,000 older people across our county each year. As part of our Community Response Team we are making check-in calls to ensure older people are ok and finding the help they need. This is especially important since Covid 19 as many have been isolating for the past year. This is a great volunteering role for anyone who wants to help from home and volunteer without a set commitment of time each week. As a telephone check-in volunteer you will call clients and ask them a small list of questions. Clients who need extra support will be referred into our different services and local partners. We will support you with training and advice and you will need access to a telephone and the internet to record the check-in details. You will be using an online form so you will need to be happy to type information. |
