Treasurer/Bookkeeper – Parish of Buxted and Hadlow Down
About this organisation
The villages of Buxted and Hadlow Down make up the ecclesiastical parish, which also includes part of Five Ash Down within its boundary. It is a rural community, but is growing as a result of planned housing development.
There are three churches, and two Church of England Primary schools in the parish:
Buxted C.E. Primary School (church-controlled)
St Mark’s C.E. School Hadlow Down (church-aided)
About this opportunity
The role can be covered by one volunteer, or divided into Treasurer and Bookkeeper to suit needs. The Treasurer role will require around a day a month, and Bookkeeping two to three hours a week, and will be responsible for managing and monitoring the finances of the Parish, whilst working with the cashier.
Applicants must be PC literate with a knowledge of Excel and Word, and ideally Quicken though this can be learned easily. Must also have a head for numbers and be patient.
