Founded in 1991, the Uckfield Volunteer Centre was set up to match individuals and groups with volunteering opportunities in our local community.

We work to raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering and improve the quantity, quality and diversity of volunteering in Uckfield.

Volunteering outreach

Volunteers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes! Our outreach program is an important part of communicating this to a wider audience. We let people know that anyone can be a volunteer, it’s just a case of finding the right opportunity for them.

We do this through initiatives such as taster days, school visits, exhibitions, talks and social media.

Please contact us if you’d like to find out more about our outreach activities.

Volunteer forums

Three times a year we invite community leaders, volunteers and our Charity Members to discuss issues relating to volunteering locally.

The forum includes a keynote speaker on a specialist subject.

The Volunteer Centre and Community Hub

Our Volunteer Centre is based in the High Street, Uckfield. This central location also allows us to provide a range of services through our Community Hub. These services include:

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.
