Founded in 1991, Wealden Volunteering was set up to match individuals and groups with volunteering opportunities in our local community.

We work to raise awareness of the benefits of volunteering and improve the quantity, quality and diversity of volunteering in Wealden.

Volunteering outreach

Volunteers come in all sorts of shapes and sizes! Our outreach program is an important part of communicating this to a wider audience. We let people know that anyone can be a volunteer, it’s just a case of finding the right opportunity for them.

We do this through initiatives such as taster days, school visits, events, talks, social media and pop up centres across Wealden.

Please contact us if you’d like to find out more about our outreach activities.

Networking Lunches

Three times a year we hold networking lunches for our members.  Have a lovely lunch, listen to a keynote speaker and network with others.  These networking lunches have sparked many collaborations and are a great favourite with our members.

The Volunteer Centre and Community Hub

Our physical Volunteer Centre is based in the High Street, Uckfield. This central location also allows us to provide a range of services through our Community Hub. These services include:

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.
