Dear Friends

I hope you have all enjoyed the warmer weather and if you are anything like my household we have been immersed in the Olympics and have so much admiration for those concerned and for the wonderful haul of medals Team GB have returned home with.

Now with autumn approaching our minds are turning to things nearer to home.

Community Lunch

Our next community lunch/networking meeting is on Wednesday 12th October.  Please note that in future these lunches are to be on Wednesdays and not Fridays as previously.

This time the meeting will include our AGM after which we are to hear from Age Concern UK (East Sussex), who will be telling us of all the services they are able to offer.   This will be  important information for your members and I hope as many of you as possible will attend.

Age Concern

The meeting will commence at 11.30 in the Luxford Centre in Library Way. After the main speaker you will be invited to say a few words about your Group and any news you may wish to pass on.  I would encourage you to book your slot as time is always limited.

We will be serving fish and chips and as usual allow two people from each member group to attend free of charge.   Of course our individual members and business sponsors are also invited.   Anyone not a member is most welcome and the cost will be £5 per person.   If you need to check whether your Group is a member, please contact the Office and ask for Marie who will be able to tell you.

As the fish and chips will be ordered in, please make every effort to attend – as ‘no shows’ will obviously cost us money.

Fish and chips

We are looking forward to seeing you on the 12th October and having the opportunity to hear all your news as well as tell you about what is happening at The Centre. Please do let us know at any time if you need any support or advice or if you require any volunteers we will be happy to help.

Attached is a form to complete for attendance to the lunch on the 12th October. I look forward to seeing you there.
