About the opportunity
To become a session leader for the various projects, which are;
1. Artytime’s After school and/or Saturday club. You will facilitate an arts and crafts workshop involving primary age children. You will have training and opportunities to enhance your CV for the future should you want to.
You would need to be available from the end of the school day for a couple of hours. The actual session is one and a half hours then a half an hour clean up time.
2. Artytime’s family fun sessions are for adult and toddlers (babies and under 5) involving the Early Years Cirriculum. with plenty of messy play and craft. Again teaching will be provided. These can be morning or afternoon (usually not long after school drop off or an hour and a half before the school pick up.) Plus time to set up and clear away.
What are they looking for?
Their free training programme has been well received by those wanting to gain work experience before they re enter the job market. It has also seen people who just want to stay active in the community, really enjoy working with children and acting as a role model. You do not need any formal qualifications for the role, as they believe common sense is the main element needed. However, you need to be able to get to the venues to run the sessions and will have some resources to take with you from time to time.
Travel expenses will be paid and any pre- agreed expenses incurred to carry out your role.
A satisfactory DBS check will be required, which Artytime will pay for.
